ZA Letter to the Community

Greetings,

Zimfest 2009 is rapidly approaching and we hope to see many of you in Boulder!

The Zimfest Association website has been updated with reports from the recipients of last year’s donations (Ancient Ways, Mbira, Tariro, and the Dispatch Foundation). For more information please visit: Winter 2009 Donations

The Zimfest Association Board would also like to recognize the hard work and dedication of now retired board members Marian Grebanier (serving 5 years), Kirsten Commandich (serving 4 years), and Paul Mataruse (serving 3 years). Their time and effort serving on the board and working to move the festival forward have been greatly appreciated. They will be missed!

We would also like to welcome two new members to the board: John Hatten (Bellingham, WA) and Forest Shomer (Port Townsend). Both John and Forest bring a wealth of experience to the board and will help us in working toward our goals as an organization.

At the village meeting, John will be presenting a proposal to the community about creating a membership organization.
