February 17, 2008 We’ve revised the Zimfest Association web page.
February 16 We are excited to announce this year’s lineup of Zimbabwean teachers. For that and more, see Zimfest 2008 Greetings and Festival Notes.
February 12 The Zimfest 2008 Registration Guide will be available here on the web site by early March. We’ve revised the Contact web page.
January 16, 2008 We’ve posted the 2008 Concert Schedule, which is subject to change.
September 17, 2007 Applications to perform or teach workshops at Zimfest 2008 are now available. The deadline is November 30th.
September 8 At the village meeting during Zimfest 2007, the Zimfest 2008 organizing committee announced the date and location and discussed other aspects of their plan for next year’s festival. Zimfest 2008 will be held July 4–6 at the beautiful campus of Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, with Prefest on Thursday, July 3. Randy McIntosh and Amy Stewart informed us of progress toward hosting Zimfest 2009 in Boulder, Colorado. An organizing committee has not yet applied with an offer to host Zimfest 2010; interested parties can contact the Zimfest Association board.

August 16 We’ve revised the Concert Schedule (still subject to change, of course).
August 13 We have made several changes to the workshop schedule, due to teacher cancellations and some low enrollments. For further details, see August 12 Zimfest Update.

August 2 A reminder that all Zimfest meal orders must be placed with payment received by August 7. Other food options within walking distance are limited, so plan ahead. Place your meal order now! For further details, see Festival Food and Registration Information.
August 2 The workshop registration lottery was run last night. Confirmations were sent to everyone who has registered. You can view your enrollment by logging into Online Registration. If you haven’t registered, you can still do so. The current status of each workshop (open or full) is shown in the Workshop Descriptions and Workshop Schedule. You can make changes to your enrollment via Online Registration until August 17 at midnight. Registration by snail mail must be postmarked by August 11 to be processed prior to the festival. Registration will of course be open during Zimfest if you wish to register for open workshops or buy concert tickets. For further details, see Registration Information.
July 20 A reminder that deadlines are approaching for entry into the workshop registration lottery. All forms and payments postmarked by July 26 or earlier and all online registrations completed by July 31 will be processed together in a randomized lottery to ensure everyone an equal chance at receiving their first or second choices for workshops. Your registration will not be processed until we receive payment. For further details, see the Registration Information page.
July 18 The Workshop Schedule and Workshop Descriptions are available as web pages (although we’re still resolving a few minor issues).
July 15 Now available are the Concert Schedule (subject to change), Registration Information web page, Registration Forms PDF and Payment Voucher PDF.
July 11 The Zimfest 2007 Registration Guide PDF is now available for you to download, print, and review. And Online Registration is now open.
July 10 Portions of the Registration Guide are now viewable as web pages: Zimfest 2007 Greetings & Festival Info, the Daily Schedule, and Workshop Teachers and Presenters.
July 9 We’ve added the Marketplace and Vendor Information and Application web pages. The Registration Guide will be available this week, so do check back.
June 22 Due to delays in the publication of the Registration Guide, and recent short service change on the Zimfest web site, we want to let you know that the festival is definitely happening August 24 - 26 in Olympia, Washington, with an exciting assortment of amazing teachers: Erica Azim, Jaiaen Beck, Garadziva Chigamba, Melissa Chigamba, Lora Lue Chiorah-Dye, Ambuya Stella Chiweshe, Fiona Connon, Ambuya Beauler Dyoko, Kite Giedraitis, Trymore Jombo, Claire Jones, Tedd Judd, Joe Keefe, MyLinda King, Jennifer Kyker, Joel Laviolette, Cosmas Magaya, John Mambira, Mpho Mambira, Paul Mataruse, Sheasby Matiure, Themba Mawoko, Ilana Moon, Lucky Moyo, Tendai Muparutsa, Sheree Seretse, Michael Sibanda, Wanda Walker, and Ted Wright.
June 22 The Registration Guide will be available by early July. In the interest of saving money and trees, we will not be doing a mass mailing of the Registration Guide. The complete contents of the Registration Guide will be available online as in recent years, in both HTML (web page) and PDF formats. If you are unable to download and print your own copy of the Registration Guide, please contact us at 2007@zimfest.org, and we will mail you a copy.
June 13 The Accommodations page has been revised.
April 15 We’ve added a brief Introduction to Zimfest 2007 and some info about Accommodations and Travel.
February 12 Applications to Perform or Teach at Zimfest 2007 are now available. The deadline is March 15, so don’t delay.
January 21, 2007 Zimfest 2007 will be held August 24–26 at South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, Washington.
August 14, 2006 The 2006 Marketplace page has been revised.
August 13 During Zimfest 2006, festival organizing committees committed themselves to planning and producing the next two festivals, and plans are beginning for 2009 as well! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Zimfest 2007 will probably be in Olympia, Washington. Another group from Washington State plans to host Zimfest 2008, with Seattle as their first choice location. And two key members of the Boulder, Colorado community plan to build a committee that will produce Zimfest 2009 in Boulder. None of the dates or specific locations have been determined yet. Further details will be posted here as plans develop.
