Zimfest 2010 Registration Guide — Delayed

The on-line publication of the Zimfest 2010 Registration Guide will be delayed until we work out some additional details concerning housing, meals and classes. We apologize for not meeting our March 15 target date, and we will announce the new publication date soon!

We can tell you that we have a wonderful line up of teachers, workshops and performers, with an impressive array of Zimbabwean teachers including Julia Chigamba, Dr. Pride Chigwedere, Musekiwa Chingodza, Lora Chiorah-Dye, Ronnie Daliyo, Clayton Gunguwo, Cosmas Magaya, Paul Mataruse, Kurai Blessings Mubaiwa, and Renold and Caution Shonhai. Bongo Love members are a very likely addition in the near future. There will be over 140 workshops offered in marimba, mbira, singing, dance and cultural presentations. Performances by all the Zimbabwean teachers as well as Loveness Wesa and the Bantuz, Ruzivo, Wagogo, Ande, Boka, Kudana, Kutandara, Pachi Pamwe, the Chris Berry Orchestra and many more.

The OSU campus will be an exceptional facility for Zimfest 2010. You will find it both reasonably priced with regard to housing/meals and convenient, with most workshops, the afternoon stage and marketplace in close proximity. Corvallis is wonderful university town in the "heart of the Willamette Valley" and easy to get to, 1&1/2 hours south of Portland Oregon. Make your travel plans now to attend Zimfest 2010. See you all in August!
