The Marketplace

Imagine a beautiful, grassy area along the Boulder Creek Path in Boulder's Central Park, with wonderful Zimbabwean music wafting from the Festival Stage. Concert attendees are relaxing on blankets, dancing to the music, enjoying picnic lunches, and perusing unique items for sale. You are at ZimFest 2009!

We anticipate a full roster of vendors selling instruments, CDs, clothing, accessories and art. Lunches will be served at the Festival Stage/Marketplace area on Thursday and Friday, so we are sure to have a full crowd of festival participants as well as lots of interest from people out for a stroll along the Boulder Creek Path. On Saturday, this location is adjacent to the busy Boulder Farmer's Market, ensuring lots of crossover interest from Farmers Market shoppers! Saturday's lunch can be purchased from the vast array of Farmer's Market food vendors or you might take the opportunity to visit the famous Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse (located in the middle of the Farmer's Market) for a special treat.

If you have any questions, contact Andi Jason at marketplace@zimfest.org. Please keep in mind that crafts sold at the Marketplace should be either made in Zimbabwe or at least in keeping with the spirit and intent of ZimFest.
