Zimfest 2008 will be held on the beautiful campus of Pacific Lutheran University, which is located 7 miles south of downtown Tacoma.
Driving Directions to Pacific Lutheran University from Interstate 5
- Take exit 127 off Interstate 5 and head east on Highway 512
- Continue on 512 for approximately two miles
- Take the WA-7/Pacific Avenue exit
- Turn right on Pacific Avenue South
- Turn right on Garfield Street
- Turn right on Park Street
- Turn left on 121st Street
- Continue past the Library and Administration Buildings on your left
Parking for festival participants is free at PLU. This includes anyone taking workshops or staying on campus. There will be a $5 parking fee each day for others, including people who come for the day to listen to concerts or browse the marketplace, or attend evening concerts.
We have put together transit information for those people in the greater Seattle area who do not want to drive to the festival or for those who need to get from SeaTac airport to PLU.
SeaTac Airport to PLU
There is a Sound Transit Route #574 bus that leaves SeaTac every 30 minutes from Bay #1 and heads south. You will get off in Tacoma at SR 512 Park and Ride. Transfer to Pierce Transit bus #204 (leaves every 10 minutes). This bus will take you to the Parkland Transit Center, which is just a few blocks walk from PLU (0.3 miles to be exact).
Downtown Seattle to PLU
Sound Transit #594 picks up passengers at several locations in downtown Seattle and also goes south to Tacoma to the SR 512 Park and Ride. Transfer to Pierce Transit bus #204. This bus goes to the Parkland Transit Center. It is a short walk from there to PLU.
