2007 Vendor Information and Application

Greetings! Thanks for your interest in being a market vendor at Zimfest 2007. This page tells you what you need to know. To apply, please complete the vendor application form below as soon as possible, and we’ll get back to you.

Market Location

The market will be located behind the Minnaert Center for the Arts, near the Zimfest outdoor concert stage, on a large grassy field. It may also extend to a small parking lot next to the field. There will be very little to no shade, so bring your canopies! (There is no overnight camping at SPSCC; please see the Accommodations page.)

Zimfest Market Criteria

Items to be sold should either be made in Zimbabwe or, if made outside Zimbabwe, should be appropriate to the spirit and intent of Zimfest (instruments, music-related items, etc.). No food sales are allowed.

Market Hours

The Zimfest market will be open from 9:00–6:00 daily on Friday, Saturday and Sunday — August 24, 25 and 26.

Fees

Commercial Vendors: $50 per day, plus 10% of all sales.
501(c)3 Non-Profit Organizations: $12 per day, plus 10% of all sales (charitable contributions are exempt, no goods are sold).
The fee is to be paid on the last day you will have a booth at Zimfest. Non-profit organizations must provide us with their 501(c)3 tax ID and status.

Market Display

One rectangular table and two chairs will be provided. Electricity is not available at the market this year (unfortunately). Spaces will be available on a first-come first-served basis. Be sure to let us know whether you have display needs beyond what’s provided. We’ll help if we can.

Security and Storage

A secured storage space is available in a neighboring building. The room is easily accessible, and will be secure under lock and key at night.
