Greetings! This page will tell you what you need to know about vending at Zimfest. If you’re interested in applying, please complete the vendor application form and we’ll get back to you right away. If you are a food vendor, please complete the food vendor application form.
Market Location
The marketplace is located in the Dragon Plaza and the vendor booths will be arranged in a large semi-circle. On the other side of the Dragon is the stage for the afternoon and evening concerts so you will be able to hear the music and be part of the festivities. The marketplace this year is right in the middle of everything and vendors should enjoy lots of interaction with participants.
The Oregon Country Fair site can be very hot in July and you should bring your own easy-up, lawn umbrella or tarp arrangement to provide your own sun protection. You may want to collaborate with other vendors to do this.
We will place marimba vendors at a distance from the concert stage so that sound interference is minimized. Food vendors will be allowed in the marketplace this year and we expect festival participants to be buying and eating their lunch in the marketplace/concert area. We are extending the hours of the marketplace into the evening so that vendors may take advantage of the evening stage being so close by. Electricity will be made available as necessary but you should bring some portable type of lighting for your booth if you plan to stay open into the evening. Gas lanterns or battery-powered lights are acceptable.

Zimfest Market Criteria
Items to be sold should either be made in Zimbabwe or, if made outside Zimbabwe, should be appropriate to the spirit and intent of Zimfest (instruments, music-related items, etc.).
Market Hours
The market will be open from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm daily on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Fees
Commercial vendors: $50 flat fee for the weekend plus 10% of sales over $150. Non-profit vendors: $20 flat fee for the weekend.
Market Display
Your fee includes one 6' x 30" table and two chairs. There will be a one-time $15 charge for an additional table, and a $2 charge for each additional chair. Be sure to let us know whether you have display needs beyond what’s provided. We’ll help if we can.
Security and Storage
We will be bringing in portable storage containers for use at night. You will be able to park fairly close to the marketplace so you may be able to also use your vehicle for additional storage.
