Chamutengure for Youth — Singing

We will learn Chamutengure, a popular traditional song
in Zimbabwe. We will cover several different call-and-response parts which can be sung
alone or to accompany the mbira. Additionally, we will discuss the meaning of these lyrics
and the history of the song. Simple handclapping rhythms and hosho patterns will be taught
to accompany the singing lines.
