Introduction to Nyanga (Ngororombe) Music

Learn the basics of playing nyanga panpipes in the style of the MaNyungwe people of Mozambique. There is a lot of breathing involved and if you get tired or light-headed, take a break. We probably won’t have time for the dancing. (See Festival Notes for additional background.)
Level: Introductory/Beginning
Prerequisite: Attendance at one of the nyanga presentations highly recommended.
